Xbox Halo 3: Extended action
Since its launch at the end of September, 2007, Halo 3 has won an impressive number of awards, including Best Multiplayer Game and Most Addictive Video Game Fueled by Dew from Spike TV, TIME magazine's Game of the Year and numerous others. It's also credited for pulling the Xbox out of the doldrums, fueling a huge increase in console sales, despite the ongoing RROD saga. Sales of the game were off the scale, grossing $300 million in its first week - pretty good going. More than 8 million sales were recorded in the first 3 and a half months!
Over 1 million players of Halo 3 logged on to XBL in the first 24 hours after launch, but recently sales of the game have been tailing off and play on Xbox Live is not so popular, which is only to be expected. Bungie released the Legendary map pack on April 15 and zeroed the price for the Heroic map pack on XBL.
